Verizon offers a wireless broadband router DSL modem for $14.95.

It is apparently the "Gateway" brand.

Anyone know how good/bad this DSL modem is?
- how are connection speeds and maintaining a connection?
- how good is the wireless range of this DSL modem (distance and how many walls can it go through)

Also, anybody know the actual model number so I can do a Google search for more info?

I'm a verizon customer in Los Angeles. This is the model they sent me when I signed up about 9 months ago:

Versalink

Not sure if they are still shipping this model or what.

I contacted Verizon and they said that in NY I would get the Westell 6100 for free and the Westell Versalink Gateway for $14.95.

Hi:

Could you comment on the quality of that DSL modem, in terms of maintaining a constant connection, connection speed, and wireless range?

(I need one that provides a good signal through 2 or 3 walls, with a maximal range of say 50 - 75 feet).
