how good is the soyo 6ba IV for overclocking a PIII?

Yes it is a VERY good board. I Love it!
My PIII can clock even higher but I chose to be conservative, it's very stable! the only downfault is the highpoint HPT366 controller.

P.S. my PIII 700 runs flawless at 959
it runs at 994 too but AGP out of spec and not very stable in games.

I just replaced an Asus P3B-F with one of these. My PIII-500 would only go to 560 on the P3B-F but it's running nicely at 615 now. I think it will go even higher with better memory, it posted and got all the way into Win 98 at 667 (133 BUS) then locks up. I'm going to try some good PC-133 memory and see it that is what is holding it back, my old PC-100 might be topping out at 124.
