I'm going to be building my first computer soon and I'm having second thoughts about picking up the A7M266 like I originally planned. While no one is speaking terribly ill of it, it seems that most people think that better performance and stability can be had for a lower price. I've been hearing good things here and over at Tom's about the FIC AD11 as well as the ECS DDR board (can't remember the model #).

Exactly how good is the FIC AD11? Do you recommend it over the A7M266? If the FIC is equal to or better than the A7M then I'll probably pick it up considering it'll save me a good $50.

All input is greatly appreciated...

Never tried A7M266, but had tried FIC AD11 for a month.
FIC is quite fast and stable .
The best feature about the AD11 is....dipswitch!!!!!!
Generally, it does not has many OC "options", but I never like to run my PC out of odd spec anyway.
Set and run...perfect!

Heres a anology to help understand just how rocl solid stable the AD11 is.
I could take a crap right on the AD11 board and it wouldn't hinder it's performance just keep right on running like nothing every happened.
You don't get anymore stable than that.
There only one other board I would recommend in regards to total stability like the AD11.
Thats ECS's SIS 735 chipset board a very stable board as well and only $65.00.
Either one their both excellent boards.
