How good is the cool master V8?

It is good, but you have to ask yourself what your goals are.

Cost? They aren't cheap.

Performance? If you are going for a "typical" mid 4.X GHz overclock, the Hyper 212 Evo will do it just fine.

The V8 is about average for a tower cooler with a 120mm fan. It's expensive mainly because of the design

I used to have one on my i5 750 computer and it is HUGE, but not in a cool way like the giant coolers similar to the hr-02 macho. Its also quite heavy! At the same price there are better coolers.
