I didn't know if I should have put this in the mobo forum or here. Figured here since Asus does more than mobos.

I am planning to buy a new PDA and came across Asus mypal 730 and some others from them. I really want to get one, but would want to know what you thought of the company. Is their service good? Are their other products good? Anyone has this that can give me an idea of how they like it??

All the reviews that I read about this company says it is a pretty good company...but I would rather hear it from you guys...the real deal.

Thanx for the info in advance.

I would say that Asus are an excellent company.

I have only ever bought Asus motherboards and they have never let me down.
Just got an Asus X800XT PE, Came with excellent software and runs perfect.

Never needed to get any technical support but their website has everything you need from software, drivers, utilities, if you ever lose your CD's.

Loves his Asus mobo and 9600XT, and previous Asus mobo experiences.

Never had to talk to their customer service, but that is a good thing.

A very good thing, considering that their tech support sucks, or at least did about a year ago.

Beware that a PDA made by Asus may not be as good as their motherboards or graphics cards.

As long as it runs a popular OS (Palm or M$) so that you can easily get applications, go for it. I just yesterday had a contact with the ASUS RMA dept. to get some backplates and it went quite smoothly. I expected to pay, as I bent them into pretzels myself, but they are sending them for free...

Well I am glad to hear all these positives about this company...touch wood.

I read a lot of reviews of their PDAs through Google and all of them are very positive. In fact, most of them say theirs are the PDAs to get over Palm, HP, Sony and others.

I will go ahead and buy the PDA now. Will let you guys know of it by posting a review of it here.

Btw, they are Pocket PC technology..meaning they run the popular Windows Pocket version.

Thanx to all who replied...appreciate it.

I personally think Asus's quality control (at least for their mainboards) has gone down in the last 3 years. My company deals almostly exclusively with Asus MBs and rate of RMA has steadily increased over the years. My own personal experience outside of work also leans in this direction too.
