How good is some college, but not a degree?

The program I am in won't offer all the classes I need to graduate until about 2 years. 2 years from now I will probably have a degree. In the meantime would I be able to get a decent job? I know the economy sucks right now, but otherwise should I apply for entry level jobs that say they want a b.s. or b.a.?

BTW I will have 112 credits after this semester. I will need 120 credits to graduate, but the ones I need are requirements.

I don't thing some college is really worth anything if you don't have a degree.

Not all schools alow this. I would recommend leaving (make sure the school okays the leave) and make some money for the new few years. Try a co-op or internship somewhere.

What degree anyways?

Get your degree. Half a degree isn't worth any more than no degree.

What class is it? You can take correspondense someplace accredited and x-feer it whats the problem? Or just go someplace else and take that class and x-fer it.

EDIT: I've never heard anyone say "man I sure wished I did'nt have a degree" so I'm sure it has value.

Technical writing.

It's not the gratest degree, but I like doing this type of work. I am going to get a job and work, but was wondering how bad not having a degree would hurt me with hr departments.

I'll look into going to another school and see what I can do. I know one class has to be from the school I am currently going to, but for the rest I might be able to transfer them in.

If you're still in school, then not having a degree of course doesn't hurt. But if you decide to leave for two years and head back, then having some as opposed to no school could actually hurt you more...unless you properly explain the situation to the HR department.

Technical writing sounds like the perect cooespondance candidate. No doubt you'll find a place which offers it.
