How good is Googlegear.com??

I've never bought from them. I've bought from Newegg.com and some other places, are they as good? Their prices seem good. Thanx,

Yeah, they're good. I've only ordered one thing from them (some RAM), but I was happy with my transaction. I prefer newegg, though.

I just placed an order with them last Monday AM and got the goods on Thursday. So coast-to-coast in 4 days is good. They were offering free 2nd day FedEx. I do have issues with their communications being rather slow and you have to go thru 5 (I think) links to get to your account info. Item arrived in good condition and is in use now. If the price is right give 'em a try.

GreenWald: I have ordered 6 times this year, (2)Samsung DDR333 ,Asus Motherboard P4S533, Maxtor hard drive, 56k modem, P4-1.6 Northwood cpu.

They have been right on. No problems with any of the equipment. In fact I o/c the Samsung ram to 150X16=2.4ghz. No problems with the "Samsung" ram.

I have also ordered from newegg, Logitech Z-560's, no problems.

Googlegear delivers what you order, and does so quickly. They also have some of the best prices with shipping on mobos, CPUs and memory.

I highly recommend them, but watch your shipping when shopping their site. Some items have great shipping, and others have high shipping.

Over the years I have bought numerous items from them. All arrived promptly with no problems, and they have generally good to excellent prices. (Just bought some Corsair memory from them today in fact.)

When I tried to spec a system last week their site was extremely sluggish taking several minutes per page.

Yeah, I've noticed this too. Either tey're having server problems, or hosting problems. Their site is much faster very early or very late, but midday it's a crap shoot.

I think they're faster than newegg, shipping wise.

I ordered Ram on Sunday nite and received it by Wednesday of the following week with their FedEx Saver shipping. I live in the northwest.

i like there 2nd day fedex deal on certain items, but if you ever want to talk to some of there employees there they dont really speak english so perfectly.

Just got a P4 2.53 from them.. great service. Only prob and its not thier fault is getting old stock. My pack date on my processor was May 14, which is about the release date of the processor. You would think the first ones would have been depleted by now. But this is a good one, Ocs decent. 🙂

dexvx is right. I've ordered from Googlegear several times and they have been first rate, faster than newegg when it comes to turning out an order. However, I do more business with newegg because they have a larger selection.

In my experience, If I order from both at the same time, Newegg's order gets here one day ahead of Googlegear's. And that's ordering "ground" from Newegg, and the free 2nd day air dealie from Googlegear. I know it sounds weird, but it's happened every time I've done it.

I'm in the midwest, BTW.

Great company, much faster order times than Newegg. Ordered a cpu from them in the morning, checked the website a few hours later and they had already given me my tracking number.
