My friend tried it, there seem to be no drivers for it that work so I guess its bad in XP.

Microsoft made the drivers themselves for it.... I know there are drivers... Just don't know what they can do

It works better than Win2k with the beta drivers. Supported 3D sound APIs work great under XP on my machine. Mileage may vary though, I've heard of some horror stories.

HORRIBLE! If you heard Vortex2 in Win98SE and loved it, you'll be dissapointed in XP!

Plain drivers. No quad (4 speakers). Sounds very bad.

Sound drops and cracklings but there is a fix to this sound drop using WPCREDIT - Try checking the VortexOfSound.com website for fix.

No Vortex control panel. Just plain bad sound - like your vortex 2 will sound like an AC97 from motherboard built in.

I suggest go dual boot - Win98SE or ME for games and WinXP for work.

Good Luck!
