Hi..

can anybody tell me, how good an Ati Mobile FireGL T2 128mb video card is?
I am hardpressed to find any comparisons with it.
Where does it stand, compared to the Mobile 9600 pro?

Thanks!

how about compared to a radeon 9000/9200?

just approximate.. I don't need specific 3dmark2001 results, although that would be nice :)

i cant find any reviews of the firegl t2 either but its a high end cad chip. it can go either way. some of the $1000 cad cards dont do as well with games as the $300 gaming cards. your only going to find it in expensive workstation laptops.

WHAT! I'm stunned.. look what I just found:
picture

3Dmark2001 - a score of 12536.. how insane is that? Please confirm that this is insane.. that's better than a radeon 9600 right?

yes, im looking at the ibm t41p.. because of its weight, durability, sxga screen (hard to come by in Denmark) and long battery life! but it has the firegl t2 chip, and not a born gaming chip =)

Actually you can say almost always. Prior to the Quadros(and now the Fires) you could change that to the $5,000 pro cards almost always get whipped by the $100 gaming cards in games. Even now the Pro boards still tend to lag a decent amount behind the consumer varriants, although not always.

It got 9.1K in 3dmark2001, 1024x768 ,which is the standard setting I think... isn't that the norm for Radeon 9600 cards? Maybe a bit slower.. but not an awful lot =)
