Pros:
Tuition reimbursement (100% up to a yearly cap that is about what tuition costs me)
7 paid weeks of PTO (Sick+vaca, don't get sick though)
Can do homework at work
Not too stressful. Go in, do my thing, etc, leave and forget about that place
Have some great experience gained from it (IT internship with raised floor team during ~14,000 sq ft expansion in a fortune 500 company)
Good benefits
401k matching up to 5%
Pension benefits

Cons:
Shitty pay (for my age it's decent though, especially when compared to most of my peers)
Shit ton of office politics
Little to no room to advance
Pretty old school as far as management goes

Bottom line is I can't wait to get out of here. It's a good place for my age as far as benefits go, but once I get my degree I'm bolting.

Life is pretty damn good. Maybe not quite as good as my job 2 jobs ago (last one wasn't that good) as I had been there so long but this one is good and getting better. Just hope it continues that way.

I have a it pretty good. Sure I wish I made more money, but I've got great hours and benefits... Honestly, if you don't live beyond your means, money isn't as important to me as stability.

Pro:
Decent pay and benefits for a gov't accounting job
75% pension when I turn 55
Zero stress plus easy work
Travel every quarter for a week
Same-age coworkers who are easy-going
No dress code

Con:
Workplace has no funding for team-building events/trips
No flexibility w/ telecommuting or even alternate work schedule
What is a "bonus?"
Work parking costs $100/mo
Boss doesn't acknowledge good work
No 401K match

Pros:
- very good salary for my age (got promoted this past July)
- 22 days PTO (once you hit 2 year mark)
- unlimited sick days
- schedule can be flexible (very relative)
- room for advancement
- mobility (i.e. move around within the company. If you want to do a rotation abroad)

Cons:
- Big 4 accounting firm
- Can be stressful and long hours
- Politics
- High employee turnover
- Management tends to suck (understandable due to the nature of the work)
- 1.5% 401k match (but hey, it's free money)

basically....I could crawl out of a sewer looking like I took a dump in the mouth from Amy Winehouse's zombie corpse, as long as I get my work done.

you are also going to school aren't you, shorty?

School sucks.
Idiot children. Incompetent teachers. Ridiculous book prices. Lousy parking. Those children drive like maniacs so I'm probably going to be killed before I get my degree.
Also, they shoot up the schools cuz they cant deal with life so I'm probably going to be killed before I get my degree.

Pretty damn good right now because I am leaving the company and, therefore, not really responsible for anything anymore.

The new one looks good but we'll see. At least it's paying a fair bit more

Currently:

Good salary, even if it is on the lower end for the area in this position (I'm not complaining)
Great casual work environment
401k matching (0.5% for every 1%, up to 6%)
Free drinks (fountain soda, coffee, tea)
Decent benefit options and prices (aside from dental, everything else is reasonable)
EPP Programs
Usually a XMas party
Free onsite gym - and we're talking better than most gyms you pay a membership to
- Plus free classes at the gym too for various things for those interested (like Zumba, etc... and occasionally ballroom dancing lessons)
Along with the gym, we also have 2 softball fields, several tennis courts, a soccer field, and a couple basketball courts on the campus.
And finally, carte blanche fishing in any of the "lakes" on the campus.

Icing on the cake for me is that I actually like all the people here. Everybody is pretty much friendly, or at the very least don't try to stab you in the back at their first opportunity.

The only real downsides I have at my work are the shirt and tie every day and coworkers I don't really relate to. Pay isn't great but it is relatively good, it's close, not too stressful, and steady work.

Dump in the mouth from or dump in the mouth of? D:

also in a university. 3 weeks vacation now, next year jumps to 4.5 weeks. too many sick days (no bank limit, no need for short term disability)
about ~13% retirement benefits. i got nothing to complain about, usual business as usual type stuff.
