Has anyone used this ram before?I'm thinking of buying 2 sticks fora total of 1 gig of ram running in dual channel for my new system. Pentium 4 2.6 c , abit is7 etc. Interested because its so cheap! only 85 dollars x 2 = 170$ for 1 gig of pc 3200 memory.

Many people say that they had many problems with GEIL memory but I have not expirienced any. I have the same exact RAM except 2 x 256 running on my Abit IS7 with A 2.4C @ 3.00. Therefore I say go ahead and get it.

I've had bad luck w/ Geil Value Ram, even at 2.8V and the most relaxed timings I couldn't get it to pass memtest86 @ 200mhz fsb, I ended up getting some corsair value ram that would actualy run at it's rated speeds, Personaly I'd stay far far away from their Value ram, although I've heard better things about their golden dragon and Ultra memory, just an FYI pretty much all the Geil memory they sell now is speced to run 2.6-3.1V to run stable so be aware that you will prob. need a voltage bump to make it operate correctly. Just my exp.... Hope this helps.... :)

thanks DT and Arcane, your advice is appreciated. I guess I'll see what the golden dragon series can do then.

According to one of the reviews Newegg linked, the PC3500 is pretty decent overclocking stuff the GEil below that is garbage. I took a chance on the dual 512 3500 (5ns) and it came in today with my IS7, I can let you guys know how it holds up.

1GB Crucial PC3200 (2 sticks of 512mb)

Settings: 5:4 ratio, Cas 2.5-3-3-7, all voltages = stock, Dual DDR400, 1ghz FSB (250mhz x 4)

That's not really that impressive, and you can get the GEil 3500 for less than the Crucial 3200.
