How good are Tommy Armour clubs?

I had a set of 845 oversized. I liked them but as a beginner, they were a little too difficult for me to hit since they were blade-like. Strangely, I like them better than my current Callaway X-14 Pros I use now.

I think the irons are pretty dang good. And cheaper than other brands.

But for a driver, I would get a Taylor Made. But they aren't cheap.

Actually you can get a 540D Taylor Made for around $150 even less on ebay

i stand by my big bertha warbird.

as for irons, get any old pings and send them back to ping headquarters, with your measurements so they can customize them. or just get henry griffiths irons.

I say pings because the old ping eyes are still the best irons IMO. i don't think they can ever improve upon a perfect iron.

custom ping eye (1990 model, before the ban on square grooving) > any crappy iron custom fitted > *.


and no worries, square grooves are only illegal in the UK tourneys, and OK in the US tourneys.
