Im in the process of deciding what I want to purchase for my PC Im building in the next few weeks. I was originally going to get a Athlon 3200+, but after reading about being able to overclock a 2500+ to 3200+ speeds, Im beginning to consider going that route to save some money. Ive read about people having success with being able to maintain these clockspeeds with stability and I have read some that cannot. Im wondering, if I have a Gigabyte-7NNXP, CORSAIR TWINX1024-3200LL ram and a decent HSF, should I be able to overclock a 2500+ to a stable 3200+ without problems? Im hesitant to do this because if I dont have good results, then spending the money on that 400FSB RAM would be quite the waste.
Thanks in advance
