Im back to these wonderful forums after a full year of being too busy with life !

Guys, Im considering getting the Chaintech 7600gs from Newegg. The only thing
that troubles me is that with some of the older chaintech video cards, some
people have come back after a year and reported the cards dying on them.
Is that something that should worry me ? Im not the kind of gamer who changes
cards every year and would like to stick to one card for a few years.

Any inputs from the pro's ? Is there any issues with Chaintech video cards as
such ? Any inputs are appreciated.

I've never owned a high-end Chaintech card, but I did own a lower-end one back in the day and it still works just fine. If you're feeling a bit wary, sometimes it's better to chock up the extra $30 or so and buy a higher-end brand for the piece of mind and usually the better warranty :).

I have to suggest you pay a bit more and aim for an eVGA for their great warranty.

Well, with $100 to spend, then the choice would go to eVGA 7300GT or the eVga 7600GS.

The old debate on 7300GT versus 7600GS !!! Given today's prices, which do you recomend ?

eVGA's warranty simply can't be beat. Essentially, if you do anything to the card, they'll warranty it, short of destroying it or intentionally harming it. 7600GS.
