I would live on 110th and Lexington ave, no problem. You would be okay up there. How much is the rent? There are some great restaurants around there. El Barrio is a fine neighborhood.

you're looking for 1000-1200 per person? or total?

I thought it was per person, when I was looking at apartments in manhattan a few years ago it was like $2000 for a studio.

to rent, i believe the going rate right now is about $4-5 a sq ft for a non luxury apartment in manhattan.

to buy, you're looking at $900-1100 per sq ft.

i've been driven around there...its sorta ghetto. it definetly LOOKS ghetto...dilapidated houses and what not. but as long as you don't look at anyone the wrong way....you'll be fine.

and how much are you willing to pony up for rent?

my budget is 1k -1200 and we need a 4 bedroom place

Wtf.. that's cheaper than Austin. Edit: Oh, per person. I figured $1200 per person was too expensive for the ghetto.
