How few miles a year do you put on your car?

My 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback just clicked on 20,000 last week. Bought it new in May of 2011 with 38 miles on it. It was really cheap and we thought we needed a second car, but it just sits in the garage much of the time. Looks brand new after six years. Do you have a vehicle that gets even less miles (3,500) per year?

I bought my MR2 in 2008 with 236k. It has about 265k now, IIRC, so 3000-3500mi/year. My Mazdaspeed6 is currently averaging 8979mi/year.

I think I put just under 100k km on my Mustang last year, but I get paid to drive it ($0.52 per km), so I'm OK with that.

Honestly, I have 1994 mustang with 125K on it, in the past 5 years I have put on about 6K, mostly a weekend project car now. My 2017 GTI (daily driver) is going to be about 750/month. Honestly with online shopping being more convienent I drive a lot less than before

I have a '96 F 150 that I basically parked in 2002 according to my records I have put on 26K since

I work from home and I'm still averaging 13K/year. When I commuted to work it was about double that.

0k on my 95 miata the last couple years and 0k on my 04 vw jetta tdi for the last year lol
both are broke down and I just haven't felt like fixing them yet
I only put around 8k miles a year on my cars and that is usually split between two well when I have two running. Think I've only put 5k on my 13 focus since I bought it a little over a year ago.

I think I put about 2,000 miles on the GTR and about 4,000 miles per year on the Cayman S.

About 6K a year. I drive daily to work which isn't far. It's a 2012 bought new Tacoma and I just clicked over 30K.

2 Cars (husband / wife). I drive an old car to work (and sometimes the odd errand) and average 10K miles a year. The other car is the work + go everywhere car and gets about 15K miles a year.

I have a few cars...
some I drive a fair amount. Honda odyssey bought in october 2009. has almost 119k on it. equates to roughly 14k miles a year
some I drove not so much. 350Z bought in august of 2004. has 29.5k on it. equates to roughly 2300 miles a yr. I have another car I put on about 4-5k a yr, and another 5-6k a yr. spread across my 'fleet' I am kind of surprised at how many miles I drive in total considering I have no place I need to go other than shuttling my kid around for school and sports

You do realize they're affected more by age than mileage, right? You might want to look into swapping out the tires as well. ;)

Of course. The windshield wiper rubber is still fine. It hasn't dry rotted and it still cleans like day one. I'm more concerned about the tires but the rubber feels fine to me. I'll probably change out the tires next year just as precaution even though I think it's ok.

Historically I only do 4000 or so in my 2012 ram 1500. I traded it last week for a brand new diesel Ram 2500 Laramie longhorn, so now that I have actual towing capacity I think I will be taking my RV in much longer trips.

4,200 miles a year - estimate
It's my daily driver too.
I should add, I always rent a vehicle on trips amounting to 130 miles or more.

I do 6-7k a year spread across two cars. So not very much.

You're going to change at 10 years as a precaution? At 10 years you should be headed into your 3rd set of tires based on precaution. For me 5 years is the most I will do for the Viper. It happens to coincide fairly nicely with the mileage I get out of them so I'm not tossing too much tread when I change but 10 years is just asking for death.

And yes, I have driven the Viper on 10 year old tires so I know what it's like.
