Question How fast will the 3080Ti sell out?

Given the market conditions I might be silly enough to actually try for a $1000+ GPU; something I never thought I'd do. So, what are the chances of a real human relying on their fleshy F5 finger getting a 3080Ti? I expect that most or all of the cards are already spoken for by mining firms via backdoor deals with distributors, and the few cards that slipped through the cracks will be fought over by bots and armies of F5 fingers on release day. So, I estimate the probability of a regular gamer getting an RTX 3080Ti to be right around 0.25% chance. This takes into account the likely number of gamers vs the likely number of cards that haven't already been purchased by miners ahead of the card's release. Your thoughts?

I predict the card goes from "coming soon" straight to "out of stock" with no period of time between.

That's sad and disgusting. Do you really need a computer part that bad? Gamers I've known are generally chill people but you could tell there's money to be made the way some of those guys were gunning for it.

Yep. That 3080Ti is nothing but a coupon to be redeemed for $2000 at this point. I'm genuinely surprised that violence hasn't broken out yet during some of these releases. Once that panic sets in, all bets are off.
Imagine what the lines would be like if people were competing for a loaf of bread? Better hope it doesn't come down to that is all I can say.

From the mad rush for these GPUs (since last September), Nvidia seems like they created a product made of kryptonite. This is so unprecedented; it took me a month to get my 3090s and I wanted to get 1x 3080 Ti but can't find them anywhere.

I entered on 6/30 at 6:30:15 AM for the XC3.

I also entered the ftw3 queue on 6/3 7:50:12 AM.

But I'm like 6 minutes behind in the 3080ti ftw3 queue still.

I was debating waiting on the Ftw3 but I don't think it matters at this point. I barely overclocked my 1080ti all these years.

Well, I hope your card ships before the RTX 4080 is announced. If it doesn't, I suppose you could always step up to the 4080 and pay the additional $1000.

It arrived last week. Actually digging through my psu box for a separate pcie cable so I don't use the daisy chained ones.

I actually haven't even opened the xc3 yet. Was debating on waiting for my ftw3 queue email but I think that will show up later in August when I won't be home.

At this point I'm not going for any overclocking so it shouldn't matter. The xc3 should be enough and I can put up my strix oc 1080ti for sale.

Everything is up and running. Went back to cyberpunk to check it out and it defaults to max settings with ray tracing and all that. Definitely looks different from what I remember.

I can probably turn some of those settings down too as I bet many are hindering fps but all maxed out with dlss on balanced I'm at 70-80fps on 3440x1440.

Oh and I sold my 1080ti for pretty much the same price I paid for it brand new 4 years ago so at this point the 3080ti wasn't a wallet gouging purchase.

I know we're all so busy these days and it's all too easy to lose track of the state of something as trivial as the gaming GPU market, so I thought I'd help you guys out by keeping you abreast of the situation. The 3080Ti still costs $2000. Enjoy the rest of your day.

I actually sold my XC3 3080Ti to a friend of mine who's been without a card for months. He offered to pay me a little more than retail for it. I was offering it to him at my cost from evga + shipping.

I ended up getting the evga queue email for the fat boy ftw3 3080Ti version so I'll be receiving that on Friday.

It sucks that these elite member queues are still the only fool proof way to get a card. Newegg raffle is also really difficult to win from my experience.
