I prefer the one at DSL Reports It seems to be more consistant.

Yea... the DSL Reports (more direct link) is more accurate and a lot more consistent.

I don't know if dsl reports is more accurate, I got 379 down and 689 up[???] That is for the test in LA, the New York test [which is closer to me] was full.

Edit. The second time I took it I got 859/343
and # 3 was 1170/351
Maybe the lack of consistency is my end because of cable, but the msn test was very consistent. Anyone have an explanation?

The DSL test is not designed for dial-up, but I'm not sure if that will effect results.

those result that you guys got pretty much depends on WHEN you test it.
If you do it at early morning like 3am then the result will be better and vice versa.
