how fast is your cpu? really

So how fast are your CPUs for real. No company designated speed. I came across this little program and it calculated pi up to 32million digits and benchmarks your cpu. 32 million is not very practical and I ran mine to 2 million. Here are my results.

Platform: Laptop
CPU: Centrino M 2.0
RAM: 1gig PC4200
GPU: 6800 Ultra Go 256meg
Windows 2000 Pro Sp 4

2 million @ 1(m) 34(s)

Im pretty sure some of you has seen this before but you can help me out by telling me your results because I am actually conducting a school project on this out of curiosity. Come on who can beat me ?

aare yuo sure? my pc with a 2.4ghz Paris core AMD64 3300+(256k cache) should only be marginalyl slower than your pc but it took me 3x as long to calculate to 2m.(1minute 34s)
amd643300+(2.411ghz, 256k cache)
1024mb ram 3-3-3-8@400mhz(btw, laptop memory only goes up to pc2700 i think.)

It's like every day, it's the same questions on the main page over & over.
They really should sticky a HDD FAQ on the main page IMO.

While we're on the subject. How do I enable Cool-n-Quiet on the AMD because I heard they run real hot even though they are so much slower (I mean, like a 2000mghrtz AMD? come on) Intel is at 3.6. Why do the morons on this thread like AMD so much. 😉
