Ronin, didn't you say you also had Audi S8?

Until I see all your supposed cars side by side in one picture, I'm calling shen.

My toy is high 12s - low 13s car based on others experience.

Nope...not anymore, anyway.

Don't care whether you believe me or not, because at the end of the day, validating what I have to do doesn't change what I do and don't have. :)

Of course. ;) But we also know you like showing off and would post that picture in a heartbeat if you really had the cars. :D

I ran my old Jetta once after I slapped on the Stg3 turbo...I hit a 13.1...then realized I was heatsoaked like crazy...never made it out to the track again before selling it.

Oh, maybe 17 seconds for a 1/4 mile? :)

1993 Mazda 626

Problem is not only the i4, but the piece of crap auto. I'd imagine a manual with someone who can shift even somewhat decently would be better than the auto, though really it just shifts like crap (1st to 2nd mostly, a fairly common problem I believe) under harder acceleration. Cause I would have thought a 2600lb curb weight with around 120hp and a bit more torque would do better, but who knows. It works fine at nearing 175,000, so good enough for me till another year or two when I graduate and get something tight.

Put it in S mode and the computer will shift at perfect points for you. All you have to do is push a button to take off traction control, time the light, and press gas. :)

My Suburban and Tahoe will run whatever a stock version of each is capable of, as if anyone cares.

My race truck runs in the high 6.90's in the 1/8 mile at 99 mph, which equates to high 10's in the 1/4 in the 120's. 4000+lbs w/me in it.

0-60 in 4.5, and you think you can do 10's at the strip? Err...not saying that it's IMpossible, but unlikely.

Pity you don't have the edition that also automatically drives to the track and races for you, while you sit at home on the couch:p

BTW, there is some serious either outright lying about or seriously over-estimating performance in this thread.

i pulled the 10s out of my ass because ive never ran a 1/4 mile but the 0-60 is true. its only 1.5 seconds quicker than my car stock so how is that so unbelievable? specially with the t51rspl

A car that runs mid-10's should have a 0-60 in the 3's.

edit: unless all the power comes on the top end from a power adder like a huge nitrous shot or severe lack of traction off the line.

That wasn't even a guesstimate, that was pure BS:p
Here are some real times, for comparison.

Year Make Model 0-60 1/4
1992 Lamborghini Diablo 4.5 13.3
1990 Mazda RX-7 Turbo II 6.3 14.9
1997 McLaren F1 3.9 11.7
1999 Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR 3.4 9.4
1999 Porsche 911 GT1 3.4 10.9

I'm using the quarter as a standard. At speeds over 100 at the end of the 1/4, this is a good indicator. It's not very often that we do a lot of racing on twisty mountain roads. Especially in Kansas, lol.

In a few weeks, I hope to have my Grandpa-mobile in the low 13s, possibly high 12s. All the while maintaining its geezerish appearance and daily driveability.

1998 Buick Regal GS

I'm also completely aware that PAB is going to have the fastest car and most knowledge of anyone here :)

My suburban had an atrocious 0-60, so I'd say that truck could do a 1/4 in about 18 to 19 seconds.

The mustang was a 289 with 302 heads, it could haul some ass but the major problem was turning and stopping - I'd call that one in the mid 13's.

The camaro, I havent even gotten out of first gear yet so I dunno.

289 with 302 heads won't do much for you. Unless something else was done to the motor.

What would my Toyota Camry 4 cyclinder get in the 1/4 mile? Anyone have a clue? (I sure as hell don't).
