How fast is your car? List (or estimate) your 1/4 time

I'm just wondering how fast my car would have to be to beat, say 80-85% of others.
I'm using the quarter as a standard. At speeds over 100 at the end of the 1/4, this is a good indicator. It's not very often that we do a lot of racing on twisty mountain roads. Especially in Kansas, lol.

In a few weeks, I hope to have my Grandpa-mobile in the low 13s, possibly high 12s. All the while maintaining its geezerish appearance and daily driveability.

1998 Buick Regal GS

I'm also completely aware that PAB is going to have the fastest car and most knowledge of anyone here :)

Don't know about the fastest car, but probably the knowledge.

My Z06 does the 1/4 in just under 11 seconds, mod free (why mod an already amazingly fast car....0-60 in 3.7 stock).

I've never had a chance to do a quarter mile in my car (Jetta), but I may do that after it gets out of the shop. I've got 135-140 top speed.

- from Chevy's site. I've never actually run it myself to find out.

Your vette, bone stock runs high 10's?

/shens

your vette runs high 11's, on slicks, with a perfect driver, not you. Too lazy to look up now, but I invite you to go on over to C&D and look up there results.

As for the OP with the Regal GS, those things are great cars, and I actually believe his times.

My car is both too fast and too furious to even be considered here.

LOL my 1/4 mile time would be measured in minutes, not seconds. I love my Ranger to death, but why Ford decided 154HP for a V6 in a 3800 lb truck was adequate, is beyond my sense of reason.

Actually with drag radials, the z06 will hit the high 10's.

Actually, the Z06 has made 10 second passes with the only modification being Drag Radials (Not slicks). For the average driver the Z06 is capable of low 11 second passes at around 127mph trap speed with drag radials (DOT Street legal tires)

And when you know what I'm capable of, come talk to me. Until then, shens all you want. (love how people spout because they don't think someone's better than them). ;)

And yes, I neglected to mention my 1 run (yes I was only able to break 11s once...specifically, 10.99) had slicks on, and it was done here in San Diego.

No times for sure yet, it's still all torn up out in the driveway, lol.

3.8l V6
1.9 rollers, 105# springs, manton pushrods
CAI
Ported supercharger w/ 3.4" pulley
Will likely drop to a less than 3" pulley after the I/C is tuned in
Stage 2 intercooler
Ported LIM
Northstar throttle body
Pacesetter headers and aftermarket exhaust
Powertuner (awesome tuning device for the 3800)

And melchoir, I want to know what's done to the TA ;)
