How fast is the xbox harddrive?

And if one wanted could they upgrade to a bigger harddrive, or a faster one, or would that be a pain in the ass? Oh and also is it an 8 gig or a 10 gig drive that comes in the box, and which company manufactures it?

I'm pretty sure a good amount of people have already tried unsuccessfully to change/copy/modify the Xboxes hard drive.

It is a 7200rpm Seagate (i believe) and as of right now you cannot change it/
