How fast is the USPS?

I'm applying for a job in Rainier NP. It was posted on the 3/30, and the deadline is 4/6. If I mail it on Tuesday using the fastest possible service, will it get there in time? I only ask because it's fairly remote, so maybe someone who lives in the middle of nowhere can give some input.

Why they don't take online or faxed applications, I have no idea.

The express mail estimated time if shipped on Tuesday is 2 days, so no overnight, as I suspected.
