How fast is Asus to answer questions regarding their products?

3 Days ago I sent a message to Asus and asked them how big harddisk I can use on my Asus A7V266-E motherboard and I still hasn't got an answer from them so now I'm starting to get a bit frustrated on them.

I sent one message to them to this address.

webmaster@csc.asus.com.tw

And then I also used a page on their site that has this address.

http://www.asusmall.com.tw/forms/complaint_TSD.asp

But I haven't got any answer from them yet so no I'm curious if anyone of you has sent some questions to them and knows something of about how long I have wait before I get an answer from them?

Hmm, or maybe......have I sent my questions to wrong places?

You might have been better off just asking your question here. Although I am an ASUS fan, their support can be on the slow side. That's not unusual for most mfr's though. It's all going to depend upon your BIOS. The BIOS notes on their site don't mention anything about HDD size though but that doesn't mean its not addressed. To be safe, you should download and install the latest BIOS.

Why not change the title of the thread to something like, "Largest HDD size on A7V266-E?" Maybe a few owners of that board can fill you in.

EDIT: Don't know if this answers your question (because you didn't say how big a HDD you wanted to install) but I have seen posts of people using 120 GB drives with that board. Hope that helps.

Hello to you Buz2b.

I've already asked about how big harddisks my motherboard can use here in this forum, since I want to have a Hitachi Deskstar 7K250, but I haven't got any answers on that.

I use a WD 1000 BB harddisk now so if I buy a 120 Gb disk I wouldn't exactly upgrade my computer.

Hmm, another thing about my hdd upgrade, I would really like to have one of those Hitachi Deskstar 7K250 in my computer since they are the fastest, besides the Raptor disks, hdds out there.

I forgot, I already got the latest Bios that Asus have released to my motherboard, the 1015 Beta 002.
