How fast does new hair grow?

I'm seeing more and more hair on my bathroom floor lately after i get ready to go out. (couple of months)

i still have a full set of hair and dont notice any bald spots.

hm.. this all started happening when i switch shampoos to Head and Shoulders.

Anyway, how fast does new hair come out?

I had that happen to me too and my doc said that hair falls out in the spring and fall more than usual and grows faster in the summer than winter.
I would not be alarmed at all unless it is falling out in clumps. It might be beacuse you have an iron deficiancy.

My barber said something similar. Had to do with higher blood circulation during the summer, etc.

How long is your hair? Maybe you just notice it more, if your hair used to be short.

IIRC; hair grows thicker, and seems darker in the winter. Opposite in the summer.
