How Fast Do You Type?

76 wpm with 93% accuracy. i suck at capitalization and punctuation. i just dont know where the keys for punctuation are.

For anyone less than 80 wpm, try playing text adventures for a while. It could very well triple your speed.

- Test Name: Strategic Alliances with Competitors
- Date: 2005-02-09 18:00
- Test Time: 01:00
- Gross Speed: 58 WPM
- Errors: 5
- Accuracy: 91%

- NET SPEED: 53 WPM

93wpm 100% accuracy.

Comprehensive tests however include more than text. Add in number row and upper registry symbols or 10-key and it's a mixed bag; though I'm good on 10-key.

<edit>

Oh, and that was me using a laptop with a keyboard style that I'm not familiar with, while sitting in a rocking chair, holding the laptop on my lap. I'm faster when at my desk, on my keyboard 😛

173/165, 95% ... I've taken those tests so many times, though, that I've memorized most of them. I average ~120wpm on normal typing. (IT guy during the day, did text entry for while in HS)

Funny thing - I found this today and did it. I hit 96 the first time on default settings and 106 the second. That was net rate, after the errors taken into account, which were 88 and 96% on first and second attempts, respectively.

75 wpm but the problem is my laptop a Compaq X1000 has only one fatal fall the shift key works when it wants to. I can usually get the first caps key but the second doesn't go through usually bringing down my accuracy.
