I'm ripping my music cds to my comp so I can listen to many songs one after the other without switching cds all the time, while I'm at the computer.
Anyway, I have a 10x pioneer cdrom and a 8x4x32x HP burner. 32x read it shoudl be.... my pioneer 10x cdrom rips songs at 9x often and even near 10x! Just that, how is it possible? But anyway, that's fine, but the cdrom has trouble reading some cds, and it gets glitches in some of the songs when you rip, so I don't really want to use it. The HP on the other hand, my burner, rips much slower, yet it has an 8x and 32x read (1, 2, 4, 8 and 32?) ... how come I'm only getting ~5x rip on that, and FASTEr on a much older, crappier pioneer cdrom?
any ideas?
