How fast could I get the L2 Cache to run on my Athlon 750? I actually turned it off and it ran the same as being on!!!

In case you didn't see my other post. I was curious to see how my Athlon would run if I turned off the L2 cache. Suprisingly, it ran almost exactly the same as with the L2 cache turned on!!! But I just ordered a Northwind GF Rev. 3.0 and it doesn't have the L2 cache control. (they wanted $60 for that ver. !) So now I'm wondering how fast I could run the L2 on it or if it would be better if I turned it off and went for the gold as far as the CPU is concerned. Thoughts!!!
