How fast can I make this laptop??

I?m not sure if I?m in the right forum but I?ll try here anyway.

I have the Ashton Digital 2048 Laptop. What can I do to make it faster for gaming purposes? I have only added a stick of 128mb 2100 crucial ram. Do I need to add more ram or should I upgrade the cup to the P4 2.4? I?m currently at 1.6 with 64md ram for video

The only way to upgrade that thing is by adding memory or CPU (or faster HDD). I would think more memory would help a lot, and be a lot cheaper. 64 of video memory only leaves you 64 for everything else, not a lot in today's apps.

Upgrading to a 2.4 CPU might do more overall, but be a fair bit more expensive.

Either way though, you can't really upgrade the gaming capability of most laptops much. In most cases it won't do you a huge amount of good. For you, because you have so little memory, it might, and a 50% CPU speed jump is a big system boost in any application. Only question is it worth the price?

it is AWESOME!!!

i love my 1.4 ghz centrino... it's super fast and i can crunch seti units in no time at all!
