How far you think a T-Bird 750 would overclock?

The more L2 Cache may make it harder to overclock, but do you think it would make it to a gig? Im tryin to decide whether I want a Duron or T-Bird on my A7V... :)

I pushed my 850 tbird as far as 1020 on the abit ka7 but it wasn't stable. Quake 3 would crash and upon reboot the screen would be all garbled. I kept it at 1003mhz. This was all done by changing the fsb only! Many 700 tbirds reach 900-950 and some go above. Theres always a chance :D

You could be lucky, lots of 750 'birds have 900 cores. Oops, just realized your looking for Socket A not Slot A.

yeah, I'll probably get a Duron 750 or 800, maybe an 850 and run it at a gig. :) Do ya think I'll need to change the HS/fan assembly on that? I'll even use onboard audio for a while and sell my SBLive Value! so I can get the above setup! :p

Anyone hear when the faster Durons are coming out!!!

durons will always be slower then the athlon counter parts.... just think of it like the celeron/p3 thing... celerons max at 700... P3's 933(cuz ain't nobody buying a 1GHz P3 anytime soon)
