How far should a celeron 2 533 mhz overclock

Hiya
I've tried overclocking my Celeron 2 from 533mhz to 800 but was only able to make it about 720mhz (90mhz fsb) before I started to get registry errors within Win98. I was hoping to get to about 800mhz+. I am using a Aopen Ax63 pro with the latest Bios updates and and abit Slotkit adapter and have tried both 1.5 and 1.6 voltages to no avail. Could it be that I have a CPU that doesnt overclock too well.

regards MD

You might have to up the voltage a little more. My celeron 566 @ 850 take 1.7volt.

When you consider the voltage for a P3 800 is 1.65 you might consider a little more I have a Celeron 533a @800mhz 1.65 (or less) or it will do 1008mhz @1.85 with good cooling (Alpha PAL35T & Artic Silver) its not a problem...

I've been noticing people don't want to up the voltage to get a stable and large overclock... strange. Anyway more voltage will definitely help...
