Hello all,

Well I finally got my rig all together it is the following:

Epox 8R3DA+ mother board
AMD Athlon XP Thro 2100+ Rev B
Volcano 7+ cooler
i stick of Corsair XMS 3200 512
Video Card Gainward Geforce 4 128m

Well I am running now at 2.220MHz
Mult 13
FSB 170
I think the voltage core is 1.63V
I think the mem settings are 5222
CPU temp aprox 80F is this good? or too hot? What is too hot?

How do I change the core voltage and what do people suggest as a good voltage with same safety margin?

What other values would folks suggest I try?

Any help provided would be greatly apprecated

2.2mhz ??? bawhahaha
your motherboard manual should tell you how to change voltages, I recommend keeping the vcore under 1.85v, the lower the safer

You should be able to get a bit higher on the FSB with that RAM too...

Let us know how you do!

Try backing your multiplyer down to 10-11 and running your FSB at 200MHZ so you can get synchronous dual ddr opertation for DDR400.

There are a couple of programs in the sticky thread at the top of the catagory that you will want to use, Prime95 and Memtest86. Run the Prime95 torture test for at least 6 hours and run memtest overnight to ensure that your oc is stable. On memtest, type in C - 2 - 3 -1 - 2 - 0 - spacebar to set it to the most rigorous test. Peace.

you sound like thugsrook....

and yes.. run stability tests...

just cuz it's up and running at 1.63 and can run windows doesn't mean that it won't crash... hence why you should use memtest or prime95 to find stability issues...
