How far is RC5 from being completed?

Seeing as there is a finite number of keys, and assuming that each key is processed, how far along is RC5 from being complete. I haven't really read the specifics so maybe I'm not understand everything, but if I am how far are we and when will we be done? Thanks.

Could be done tonight! At the current rate, it will take another three years to exhaust the keyspace and the DPC will have kicked our cans UNLESS YOU JOIN US TONIGHT 🙂
 
nope, the competition ends when "the key" is found....

As for the stats, we're now 35.245% of the way through the ketset.
 
Interesting... I was just wondering because RC5 will eventually be completed, while SETI@Home, which I'm currently on, is obviously theoretical. How long has RC5 been running, about a year or two?

It's been going on for 3 years plus already!

I'm having a stroke of bad luck today though.

Stupid harddisk refused to wake up fast enough and in my impatience, i restarted the computer which ended in my losing about 600 blocks in my client and 3K (YES! 3 THousand) blocks in my proxy being lost! This sucks! I must remember not to be so trigger happy on the power button next time 🙁

And with the loss in my proxy, there goes my megaflush! 🙁

I feel your pain. About three weeks ago, my servers and rack crashed and I lost over 12,000 blocks. Hint: Do NOT plug a vacuum cleaner in to an already overloaded circuit.🙁 Upside is that it forced me to finally get off my ass and put the rack on a different circuit then the servers.

Dont worry I covered you with a 30000 block flush last night.
I am crunching at 20000-30000 blocks a day or so. I just checked stats. Last night was at 174xxx and now 200xxx

 
Sigh, i'll simply recrack those blocks i guess.. 🙁 ahh....
