How far is Inland??

i was wondering when the weather person says "chances of inland thunderstorms"
how far is inland??
this is of course for ppl who live near the coast

I don't know, I live on the water and have always considered inland to
be the place were the coastal breezes no longer have an effect.
Obviously thats a small distance.

I figure they mean something like 20-30 miles.

actually, inland extends pretty much all the way to the center.
after that, you'd be going outland.
