How far in advance should i contact a realtor?

My fiance and I are getting ready to buy our first home.

Our lease isn't up until August so I wondering if there is any sense in contacting an agent now.

How far in advance do you think its worth contacting an agent?

start now, that way, you can be picky on the house/land that you are buying. Also, you can buy something that needs a little fixing and still have a place to live while you are working on it
