In regards to a p3700 ON AVERAGE how far can it OC or which P3 speed will give the Best value per speed...also which moboard and chipsetis the best to go with. Ive been reading threads and I want a little more ideas.

not shure about the best p3, i think the 600 cb0 is good (havent looked into it yet)
the best bang for your buck i would have to say is the celeron2 566 @ 850, atleast for a intel cpu

700E goes to 933MHz(133MHz FSB), the chances are pretty good. I've also heard people getting it up to the 1GHz range. Oh yea, not all of them can do 133MHz.

Well if you get the cB0 stepping, I think just about everyone has been getting them to 933MHz. If you check the o/c'ing forum, some have been hitting 1GHz.

My cB0 700 week 22 SL45Y couldn't make it to 933....:|

It's sitting at 770 at the moment, haven't really had time to see how far it goes with voltage tweaking yet either.

Can't be the other components....ASUS CUSL2 and PC133 SDRAM....

Mine does 882, but I think the BX Master has issues with this slotket. My celeron 366@567 wasn't stable at 550 with it. My friends is stable at 980, but his AGP card craps out. It even gets into windows at 1050. I gotta get a new motherboard anyway cause the BX Master is on loan from a friend while he is in Germany...

sorry to steal the thread, but how far do you think a P3 750E with the old stepping will go? i'm getting a Golden Orb soon and my case has 3 fans

I am using a PIII 700E cB0 (SL454) on a P3V4X with stock cooling and I seem unable to reach the 133MHz FSB. I suspect it is just from too much heat, which should soon be resovled by a new cooling unit.

Yeah... cB0 700 to 933 is not a guaranteed success unfortunately. 650 to 866, or 600 to 800, or a pretested 700 is the way to go if you need a sure thing.
