How far do you guys live away from the beach?

Too far now. I used to live on the beach in Venice... there were no roads west of my apartment. 😀

Will be down in FL next month though for some much needed R&R on the beach!!!

I live a block from the Mississippi, sometimes there are beaches visable but the water is way too high right now.

that's random... Now i'm in silver spring... not too sure how far from the beach, but considering you can never be very far from a beach in maryland (considering it is a small state which is split in half by the chesapeake), i'd say i'm close.

I grew up in calvert county (maryland), which is a peninsula... almost every community has it's own beach. We used to go to the beach at Calvert Cliffs (nuclear power plant). Oddly, I hate the beach and never learned to swim, despite always living so close to water.

I live in Irvine, so it is about a 15 minute drive to Laguna Beach, 25 minute drive to Newport Beach, and 30 minute drive to Huntington Beach. It is the local route that takes up a lot of driving time.

MOST people live withing a couple of hours of the beach... one kind or another... look at the way the populations are dispersed.. that being said, I'm in DC or about 1 1/2 to 2hours away... depending on traffic.

Like, would you be able to take a day trip or something?

for 18.9 years of my life, i lived with 30minutes from the beach. i moved to orlando to go to school so, i'd say, about 2hrs drive east (or west for that matter)
