575/1.16 is all I can get. Anything past that doesn't pass the test. I went ahead and left the fan always on checked. Thanks for the help, dug

thats pretty good, i'm only at 570/1145 myself (will let me set it higher but eventually that will artifact in games that really stress it so i've settled back to this, artifact free in every game :)). You should get a nice little boost out of that mate, enjoy :)

No so fast Crescent ;-p.

I've got a stable 620 core 1307 mem MSI 6600 GT but no 3dmark to prove it. I do have one in my sig for 607 core 1307 mem.

AS5 + 700cu Zalman, no voltage tweaks, no artifact. It runs FEAR without hitch.

From dug's F.E.A.R. thread:
I'm running SLI'd 6600GT's, so the OC'ing is a little more inhibited
I got them OC'd to 583/1160 on the stock Gigabyte cooler. I may get two of the AC NV6 Rev. 3 to try and hit higher though.

those of you with PCI 6600GTs don't have the added heat from the hsi bridge to worry about, so it your cards SHOULD go further afaik...

Mine didn't overclock too far at all. The 6600GT is already clocked pretty high, so most cards don't overclock too well.

The aforementioned AT article compares the overclocked 6600GTs at 1280x1024. Since I have a 2005fpw, I'm curious: how does an overclocked 6600GT compare to a stock 6800/6800GT at 1680x1050?

managed to get Core up form 500 >>>>>>>> 579.....

MEM only goes from 1000 >>>>>>> 1090 :(

Apparently this is the case with the Leadteks??? Core raises nicely but MEM does not.....

Can i improve my OC at all???

not very well. at higher resolutins, it struggles mightily due to limited memory bandwith(128bit x 1000mhz v.s. 256bit x 700mhz and 256bit x 1000mhz)
