I have a celeron 300A. I was wondering how far you can overclock it. I heard of taping one of the pins to overclock it. Does anyone have the link to the site? The cpu can go up to 450 (what i heard from the origenal owner) but how do i get the speed up there? Is the Multiplyer unlocked for the celerons?

haven't heard of the tape trick... multipiers are locked for intel chips... you'll have to tweak FSB and voltage in the bios or on dip switches on your motherboard...

I could only get my old one up to 464 (103 fsb). Some could go up to 504 on the older boards (BH6), but not much higher. If you had a newer board that allowed more fsb settings, then you could play around with it much more.

Slot-1 c300A = Most top out at 504mHz, but some supercooled them to 600mHz+.
PPGA c300A = Most would easily handle up to 550mHz.

What motherboard are you using?
The motherboard and chipset options will determine
the max possible speed and how to get there.

On a slot-1 you can put tape over pin b21 to trick your motherboard into thinking
the chip needs a 100Mhz FSB

My slot-1 300A hit 464@2.0V and 504@2.3 with a stock heatsink.
(still using my "older" bh6 C2633@1070)

Do you happen to know what the link is for the overclocking guide? I want to read everything before i cover up the pin thing. My motherboard is made by SpaceWalker. SIS chipset HOT-637 version 2. I haven't done any bios upgrades. Using this motherboard, how much can i push it? what if i do a bios upgrade?
