How far can you have a USB cable (or extension) for a printer?

I'm too cheap to buy one of those wireless USB print servers for my new photo printer and I don't have room around my desk for it so it has to go over on the other side of my room.

So how long can a USB cable be including extensions and all that jazz...??? 15ft?? 20ft?? 30ft??
