I just want to know how far can a typical samsung pc3200 can go

Is it true samsung on samsung ram? From what I've heard the generic stuff with samsung chips don't overclock well or don't even run to spec. I've heard that the true samsung will run 200mhz spec, but at a slower Cas 3 latency. Also I've heard differently, just luck of the draw.
