How far can i take 2500 barton on stock cooling?

I want to get 200fsb can i do it with stock cooling i have good ram and other hardware capable of these speeds just wondering if heat would be a problem

It's really all a function of how much voltage the chip requires to run stable @ 200 FSB. If you're able to hit 200 FSB with the default voltage (1.65v), then the stock AMD HSF should be able to keep the temps down around a reasonable level.

However, if you have to bump the voltage up to 1.8v or 1.85v for stability, then your temps may get a little high for your liking.

Eithe way, just try it and see....

Remove the thermal pad and use some Arctic Silver. The stock HSF should be just fine at 200*11.

Aftermarket HSFs will be better, but shouldn't be necessary.
