I am running a 1600+, K7T Limited Edition and 512 sdram.

I have the ratio from 133 -> 140
Everything else default.

What should I turn the Vscore upto?

Are even a link to a good tutorial would be cool. I really don't want to cut my cpu.

I have an AGOIA Y week 13, it does 1.74ghz(12.5x 139) on default vcore.... it'll do probly 1850 to 1900 with higher vcore.

Max safe vcore IMO is 1.85 v, some have been luckier than others :)

factory locked dude. unlock that sucka!:D

i used another trick, involving a pencil, but it also involves CUTTING two lines(changes mult from 10.5 to 12.5, means 1.67 default then :D)... lemme find a link....

that is so not the attitude for an overclocker :Q :p

maybe just go softcore, not hardcore lol

first things first, temperatures and your heatsink
if you are using retail(bought the cpu retail, using the heatsink+fan that comes with it).....unless you are in a cold room, i would get something much better

use motherboard monitor 5 to give an idea of where your temps are at
after that run prime95 torture test for ~30min or so to get your max load temp

if its too high (higher than 60C i advise you not to touch the vcore at all, just increase fsb until you cant anymore, then thats it)

if its under control, then raise the fsb up a couple at a time (there will come a time when it wotn post, try restarting and if it doesnt, clear cmos **make sure you know how to do this before attempting anything lol)

then bump the vcore up
keep going, while testing with prime95 for stability

once you reach max, raise Vdimm if you can and try fsb again
if it doesnt do anything, thats it the overclockers game is over

You are going to have to unlock that chip for max potential my friend. I don't think you'll go much farther on the fsb. Here is my basic XP unlocking tutorial:
1 - Grab a window defogger repair kit and gel-type superglue from an auto parts store
2 - Drop superglue into the L1 laser holes
3 - Scrape away excess with a credit card
4 - Mask each bridge to the left & right with scotch tape
5 - Paint a connection between north & south
6 - Repeat 4 & 5 for each bridge
7 - Use a pin to scrape away any excess if two bridges are cross-connected
8 - Use a multimeter to check your work
9 - Plug in & test
10 - If it doesn't work, completely wipe clean and start again at 4

Don't mean to beat a dead horse, but my AGOIA wk 25 chip runs 166FSB w/ 512MB Crucial PC2100, not a single problem. I have the Vcore up to 1.800. Got tired of screwing around with unlocking chips, playing with voltages, DRAM settings, etc, etc, so I think I'll just leave it at 10.5 x 166 for a total of 1.743GHz.

Mine seems to run really hot?
I can't get the fsb over 144 without it being able to restart?

I have a good cooler? But it is always around 50 at idle.

yeah i did that at first too, but HDD corruption ensued shortly thereafter :)(my mobo doesnt have 1/5 divider)....... so i did that trick.

Your mobo is holding you back mrlayance. Most KT133a's couldn't get above 144 stably.. sorry. :(

Head to newegg.com, pick up a cheap mobo and some PC2700 DDR, and then OC like hell :)

That's the best route. Unfortunately, I think our friend has run out of room on the fsb.

I've got a KT7a and it won't go above 141.
