How far back can you trace your family tree?

I just did a little research and I can trace my family tree back to 1185 AD before that I can't seem to find any more documentation.

Some of my ancestor?s names are great.

I had a Earl of Hereford & Essex, and a Lord Kendal, Bishop of Salisbury, Canon of Salisbury, Constable of Gloucester, King of France and a US president, etc, etc in my family tree.

CRAZY

My mom traced the family history on her side back and found several ancestors who came over on the Mayflower. She's also related to Lizzy Borden. :Q

My mother's side is verifiable back to William the Conqueror, but I've never taken the time to research my dad's side.

Everyone came from Noah 2 if you are into biblical history.

Hmm, don't remember Noah 2. Only the original one. Damm him for leaving unicorns behind!

I have no idea on my genalogy...I don't really even know my grand parents :( Maybe for kicks one day I will go and get one done, but considering I'm an immigrant I'll have to go back to the "old land" to get any conclusive information
