How exactly is this a 720 dunk?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...thwdp0&feature=related

When he finally decides to jump from the ground, the front of his body is facing directly down to the other end of the court. By the time he throws the ball into the goal, he had only spun once, and the front of his body is facing down to the other end of the court (mostly).

At best, this was a 380 degree dunk. Shit, I'll take a video of me spinning twice on the floor, then jumping straight up and dunking. That'll be a 720 dunk, right?

it's the illusion of it...it just looks cool. after he dunks he keeps spinning too, which adds the coolness of it.

kind of like jordan's free throw line dunk. it's the same distance as brent barry's dunk...but it looks so much cooler because he pumps his legs in the air, giving the illusion that he's flying.

when he takes off, he's only 1/4 way thru the circle, and when he dunks, he's at the end of the 2nd circle so its close enough to a 720.

Its 720 from ground to ground, not ground to basket

380, seriously? You might just want to burn your eyes out with a hot poker now because they are useless.

540 I see it as. giving him the benefit that he starts out facing the net. his dunk was finished by him facing the way he came from.

Blurredvision is right, when he dunks the ball the furthest you could argue hes turned is 540. When he jumps he is facing away from the basket.

540 > 380

I guess you missed the part where he was spinning in the air, numbskull.

looked like 540 to me - he started with his jump with his back towards the net, completed a full rotation, and ended facing the net (1/2 rotation).

I guess you missed the part where almost half of his supposed 720 came before he left the ground and after he dunked the ball. Twisting your body around on the ground before even leaving the ground doesn't count whatsoever, and IMO, however far he spins after he's already dunked the ball doesn't count either. Numbskull.

Wait a second, can you even dunk on a 10 ft rim? I'm 6'4" and when I was in HS I had a 33 inch vert. Doing a 360 dunk is difficult.

I bet you couldn't even jump and do a 720, let alone dunk a ball while doing it.
