Well sometimes these big fat flying cockroaches are outside my room so ussally when I see them I kill them with RAID. My question is, how exactly does the bug spray kill the roach? Does it burn thier skin? Paralyze them?

It gives them the illusion of watching a episode of the "Golden Girls" :D

(Actually it coagulates their blood, and paralyzes their nervous system. Their little insect bodies shut down without feeling a thing, besides smelling that god awful stuff for a few seconds.)

Most use neurotoxins. That's what all those chems are. So yeah, they are paralyzed in a way... they get fried and all systems shut down.

I use all all-natural, non-poisonous brand that smells like strong mint. It's like blasting them with an altoid.

Smashing them has its gratifications, especially if you have had a bad day. I live in FL where the roaches fly at night...

TRP, their innards are already mush... there is not much there to be dissolved.

Neurotoxins... yum

I like to hit them in midair with a book so that they're stunned... then I remove them from my area.

I usually just use some isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle, or windex if it's handy. Does the job just the same. Just good old fashion poison.

I use Bobtist's method with a twist. After I squirt em with the isopropyl, I light it on fire. Those little suckers are fun to watch running around on fire. jk, BTW :)

At the paintball field - We'd sit back and try to hot Dragon Flies in the evening after the games were over.
