How exactly do you shave?

I usually shave only again the grain (except for my upper lip where I shave first down, then up), it seems to work the best.

I used to go down to get it close and then against the grain to get it really close, but that seemed to agitate my skin. Lately I've been doing only downstrokes and it has agitated my skin much less, but I also get a 5 o'clock shadow MUCH earlier than doing it against the grain as well. It's definitely worth it though so my skin doesn't feel like sandpaper.

down only, sharp razor, lathered up really well, every morning.

Against the grain iritates my skin and my facial hair is so thick it just about stops an electric razor.

Some woman have said my 5 o'clock shadow is very sexy.

I shave down, then up against the grain. It's the only way to get my face smooth. My beard is too dense and a single down-stroke won't clear it all away. Kind sucks, actually.
