How electable do you think Gary Johnson is?

The economy will be the same or worse in 2012, so do you think Gary Johnson's fiscal conservatism could beat Sarah Palin's pro-interventionism as well as Romneycare?

I think he'd win New Hampshire's, California's, and NM's primaries for sure, I don't know about any others yet.

Two issues that may hurt him are his personal pro-choice stance (although that's not his political stance), and the fact that he may still be anti-borders. Those two things kind of bug me, plus the fact that he supports civil rights Act of 64 Title II, NAM(anaged)TA, and keeping drunk driving illegal all really kind of turn me off. But, he's the closest thing to Dr. Paul, I guess.

Interesting to note, he'd be the first Lutheran President of the U.S. Constitutional Republic.

I want to have a serious discussion on this. Any trolling/thread crapping/derailing will be reported to the moderators.

He's a great guy who really seems to take a reasonable, rational view on most things. I'd vote for him.

In terms of getting the radical right votes, his position on drugs and abortion are probably deal killers. If the economy is still in bad shape in 11/2012, his libertarian
policies probably will preclude him getting any support from those who believe economic stimulus is needed.

I can maybe see Gary Johnson as a third party candidate but I doubt he could get the GOP nomination. And Johnson could get the PaulBOT support if Rand Paul fails to win in Kentucky. But the PAULBOT vote is only about four percent at best.
