How effective is having the case open in a fairly cool room?

Is having the case open in a fairly cool room(75-80F) better than a closed case with several fans? I have 1 80mm intake fan and just the power supply fan as my case fans. If I were to add a fan or two and upgrade my 80mm to maybe a 92mm or 120mm fan and then close my case would this be a better solution? Thanks for the replies.
