Iv build a 2 computers so far and this will be my 3rd. I was planning on getting a A64 3400+ with Asus K8v SE deluxe, some pc3200 ram, x2 80 gig raptors raid 0, but then i thought, why not save 100 bucks (Im 15 and 100 bucks is alot to me...) and get a 3200+ and just overclock it. Iv never done an overclock....hell iv never touched an overclocked pc. Just wondering how easy it would be to over clock a 3200+ equivalent to a 3400+ and what i will need to do with this mobo to get it. And please tell me if i need better ram.Thanx in advance to u all.

aznman, if you got in on the retail deal, then two things will be needed for a successful; O/C IMO, get rid of the stock HS + Fan and make sure you buy some quality RAM, I hope this helps :)

I'll be hooking my own A64 3200+ and K8V SE Deluxe in the next week or two, but here are a few general guidelines for OCing:
(1) DON'T GO CHEAP -- Cheap components mean little to no OCing in most cases
(2) Buy quality power supply -- My preference is Antec, at least 400W, but any good brand will work well
(I have an Antec TruePower 430W and check my specs ;)
(3) Buy HIGH quality memory -- Best for A64 seems to be OCZ Enhanced Latency, in whatever quantity you want
(4) Super cooling!! -- Buy quality heatsink/fan and use some Arctic Silver between the two

Good luck and let us know your results!
